From dancing & writing poetry at the age of 9 years old, it has been very apparent that this Los Angeles Native's first love was music. Born Zachary Morris, this universally versatile artist has always been surrounded by music. Inheriting rhythmic sounds of calypso from his grandfather, Tay possesses the lyrical depth of artist like Shyne and Tupac; shown to him by his brother Cervin. Tay has always had an ear for soul in music. The tragic loss of his brother in 2014 that sent him not only on a spiritual quest, but one of ascension through his artistry; which inspired songs like his 2016 single "Memories" which was a song dedicated to his late brother. One would say from listening to his vibey, potent lyricism that Tay has developed himself into quite the wordsmith. With comparisons to greats like Andre 3000 from Outkast and 50 Cent, one would say he's most definitely on the right track. Though, Tay plans to be much more than just an artist, as he’s already currently investing in real estate and agriculture. He credits his business savvy & brand awareness from greats like Nipsey Hussle,
Master P, Snoop Dogg, and most importantly his Uncle Eman, who owned a successful shoe store in a tough section of Brooklyn where Tay spent part of his upbringing. Who's to say he won't be the next? Stay tuned and watch Tay's ascension & rise to the top!
One would describe Tay's sound as a refreshing street soul. Encompassing melodies similar to West Coast great Nate Dogg, and pungent delivery like Tupac, his music will keep your head rocking with his catchy singles like "Angels" and "How We Ride." He never fails to make you remember!
Tay has worked alongside & onstage with legends like Warren G, Too Short, and Bone Thugs-N- Harmony. Most recently he’s collaborated with MC Eiht, Tha Chill and Joey Fatts, with production from head-banging producers Tazzmatix, Zeke Beats, Biz, and many more!
